My journey to skincare……..

 

My name is Dori, I have grown up here in rural Petaluma, coming here from San Anselmo when I was 6 yrs old.  As a little girl and ever since I was old enough to get into my mothers cosmetics, I have always loved pampering and playing with skincare. I used to create great concoctions to apply to my cat molly and my baby dolls, all in the name of beauty.  Once I graduated from PHS, I was on the road to becoming a Veterinarian; I got side tracked and ended up working for Bill Graham Presents, a music promoter in San Francisco. That detour lead to me working around the world as a touring Production Coordinator for stadium and arena music artists. I was lucky enough to be able to travel and see many different places. I would go to various spas and day spas whenever I could, in whatever country or city I was in. This exposed me to so many different techniques and philosophies, which only grew my yearning to be in skincare. 

During a long hiatus from a tour I decided to get back to my true passion and go to Esthetics school.  I found myself attending Le Mélange Academy in Napa.  After graduating and for the next 6 years, I would give my touring friends, facials in our hotels rooms, and dream of someday having my own skin studio.  Finally in 2009, after having my daughter, it was time. I retired from touring and decided to open up my own Skincare shop in Petaluma.  It has been the best thing in the world; I love waking up everyday to go to my shop. I love being inspired by clients to develop new treatments. I am excited to attend as much education classes as I can, to learn new ingredients and techniques in this ever evolving world of skincare.

I believe in giving my clients results with every treatment, but I also believe in empowering you with the knowledge you need to maintain healthy skin for years to come.  I hope to meet you in my shop, where together, we can achieve your skincare goals.  This is Skinergy!
